That’s a great question and we’re so glad you asked! Depending on your needs and the size of your race or the scope of your organization’s needs, we have options for you that won’t break the bank. From starter packages that bundle all your major communications needs together to fully customizable strategic plans with everything involved, we’ll work with you and your budget to figure out what’s best. And we offer tiered payment so you can pay as you go.
With the right partners and knowledge, you don’t need to fear fundraising. If you’re newer to non-profit or campaign fundraising, we can help you work through the basics of a budget, what call-time is, and we can even train you on making the big asks. And beyond the basics, we have a rolodex of partners across the country whose business it is to help you raise the cash you need to sustain your race or fund your non-profit for the long-haul.
We get asked this a lot. And our answer is always the same. You have to do what’s right for you and your family. Some people have the luxury of quitting their jobs with the right support. And some are running for part-time positions in their communities. So first ask yourself if you can survive without the 9 to 5. Then make sure your support system is ready to be there for you on this journey. You are ultimately the one who gets to decide how you spend your time. And we’ve helped plenty of people run and win without leaving their careers behind. Who said changing the world would be easy? Running for office or launching a new non-profit can be potentially life-changing. But like Glennon Doyle said, “You can do hard things.”
Absolutely! We’ve worked with all kinds of budgets, and we thrive on being creative and innovative when the dollars are small. You’d be surprised how far we’ve been able to stretch a dollar. We’ve helped organizations with just communications coaching and helped them build out year-long plans for their teams. And they’ve seen great results from it.
We work with people who share our values. Period. Full stop.
Of course, you can! And if well-meaning friends and family are there for you, then by all means. But if we had a dime for every time someone came to us with their hair on fire smack in the middle of a campaign or project that has been poorly run by well-meaning volunteers and friends—well, we’d be donating a lot more money to Democratic causes right now. But the fact of the matter is, you need someone who knows what they’re doing, who’s been there before. We understand the pressures of campaigning and getting the marketing materials that you need to get your name out there right. And we might even be able to help you save some of your sanity, and in some cases, your relationships too.”
Yes! Lots. Addy’s. Pollies. Pixies. Adcraft. But we’re not here to win awards for ourselves, we’re here to win elections for you.
We make sure our staff is paid above livable wages, work reasonable hours, and are active in creating good work/life balances. Not only is this a progressive value that we model, but in the time of the Great Resignation, it’s also just plain common sense. If our staff is feeling good, they can do good things for your campaign.
